Japanese Air Force fighters escort Russian strategic bombers flying over Pacific - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Two Russian Tupolev Tu-95MS strategic fighters have successfully accomplished a patrolling mission over the Pacific Ocean, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Japanese Air Force F-15G and F-4G fighters escorted the bombers at certain stages of their flight," Russian Air Force spokesman Col. Igor Klimov told Interfax-AVN on Monday.
The flight of the strategic bombers, which were refueled in the air, lasted for about 15 hours, he said.
