Lavrov denies concerns about consequences of agreements between Sextet, Iran
MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the statements that the agreement between the Sextet and Iran on the Iranian nuclear program will be a historical mistake are "far from reality."
"I can't help but comment on some critical statements made about this process, which are being made now, that this process will be a historical mistake and will give Iran time to create a nuclear bomb," Lavrov said at a "business breakfast" in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
"First of all, this idea is far from reality because, like I said, in Geneva Iran was ready to go faster and farther than the steps that the E3+3 group called on it to take back in early 2013," the minister said.
