Northwest Fishing Consortium outbids Russian Sea for Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet
MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax) - LLC Virma, which is part of the Northwest Fishing Consortium, has offered 2.2 billion rubles in the second phase of bids to buy 100% of OJSC Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet (AFT), an Interfax correspondent attending the bid disclosure event reported.
CJSC Intraros, a firm controlled by Russian Sea, bid 2.117 billion rubles.
These firms bid 1.9 billion rubles and 1.83 billion rubles, respectively, in the first phase of the bidding on Tuesday.
The floor price was 1.826 billion rubles.
Gazprombank is organizing the bidding.
Privatization terms for ATF state that along with the value of a bid the relevant capabilities of the contenders is taken into account, however, practice has shown that recently the government has given preference to the highest bidder, said Gazprombank spokesman Alexander Kulik before opening the bid envelopes.
Kulik said 25 companies showed initial interest in the asset and the privatization agent worked closely with six of these.
A government resolution on the sale of the shares to the chosen buyer will be signed by December 13 so the deal should be completed before the end of 2013, Kulik said.
