Khodorkovsky's ex-business partner Lebedev will not ask president for pardon - lawyer
MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - Platon Lebedev, a former head of Menatep and former Yukos head Mikhail Khodorkovsky's business partner, will not appeal to President Vladimir Putin for pardon for the time being, Lebedev's lawyer Alexei Miroshnichenko said.
"He told me at our meeting at the penitentiary that he was very glad to hear the news about Mikhail Borisovich [Khodorkovsky], and he didn't say anything more. If he wants, we will revert to this issue later, but it's not under consideration now," Miroshnichenko told Interfax on Friday.
Lebedev is still determined to have his convictions overturned, Miroshnichenko said. "At our meeting, we discussed, in particular, the submission of an appeal to the Supreme Court chairman," he said.
