ERA-GLONASS and medical transport monitoring system jointly tested in Kostroma and Penza
MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax-AVN) - An integrated system of ERA-GLONASS and Sistema-103 ambulance fleet monitoring service has been successfully tested in Kostroma and Penza regions, the press service of GLONASS non-profit partnership reports.
"The integration with Sistema-103 will help meet the main objective of the ERA-GLONASS system - to save people's lives. Besides, the transmission of information about accidents from ERA-GLONASS to Sistema-103 will help reduce the gravity of the consequences of traffic accidents and other extraordinary situations on highways in the Russian Federation," a press release received by Interfax-AVN on Friday says.
It notes that the architecture of Sistema-103 implies the existence of a common cloud platform for the entire territory of Russia based on the Health Ministry infrastructure which will be linked with all customer automated working stations of first aid units in the constituent territories.
The press release says that the integration of the two systems will reduce the time for starting medical assistance to drivers and passengers thus reducing the aftereffects of road accidents. In case of an accident it is Sistema-103 that will guarantee the arrival of an ambulance team at the accident scenes and medical assistance in the shortest possible time.
The ERA-GLONASS tackles a number of tasks automatically compiling and transmitting reports about traffic accidents to the relevant services, guaranteeing calls between victims of road accidents and operators of first aid services, filtering false calls, analyzing information and compiling accounts about traffic accidents and steps taken to mitigate their effects.
