Moscow proposes to hold meeting with reps of Russia, U.S., UN, Syrian delegations during Geneva II
MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Russian diplomats propose to hold an expanded meeting with the representatives of Russia, the United States, the UN and delegates of the Syrian parties in the framework of the Geneva II international conference on Syria.
"The Russian diplomats want to establish the negotiating process as creatively as possible and propose the idea of holding contacts between [UN special envoy] Lakhdar Brahimi and representatives of Russia, the U.S. and Syrian delegation either separately or jointly," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Monday.
