Putin, Chinese VP Yuanchao to discuss economic, energy cooperation
MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with representatives of the Chinese, Mongolian and Republika Srpska leaderships during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Putin will take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on May 23-24. Putin will take part in the opening ceremony and conduct a number of international meetings.
"Three bilateral meetings are scheduled. In particular, a meeting with Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao. An exchange of opinions on priority aspects of economic and energy cooperation is anticipated, based on the results of Putin's visit to China on May 20-21 among other things," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told journalists.
China is Russia's largest trading partners, with turnover reaching a record of nearly $90 billion in 2013.
On the same day, Putin will meet with Mongolian Prime Minister Norovyn Altankhuyag. "Particular attention will be paid to ensuring a positive dynamic in trade and economic cooperation. In 2013, trade between the two countries declined 15.8% to $1.62 billion," Ushakov said.
Putin is also expected to meet with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik.
