Influx of Ukrainian refugees forces authorities to impose state of emergency in parts of Rostov region - children's ombudsman
MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, has introduced a state of emergency in the areas bordering with Ukraine due to the high number of refugees, Russian Children's Rights Commissioner Pavel Astakhov said.
"Following the decision by the Rostov region governor, a state of emergency has been imposed in the areas (15 municipalities) bordering with Ukraine. The state of emergency has been declared due to the mass influx of refugees from the hostility zones in South-East Ukraine," Astakhov wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
