Markin: Detectives do their best to identify Politkovskaya murder mastermind

MOSCOW. July 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a separate criminal case against the mastermind of the murder of reporter Anna Politkovskaya and is working on his identification, committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

"Comprehensive measures are being taken to identify the mastermind the murder of A. Politkovskaya; his criminal case has been separated from others," Markin told Interfax on Monday.
