Embassy still unable to confirm Russian deaths in India road accident
MOSCOW/ NEW DELHI. June 10 (Interfax) - Officials of the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in India are verifying reports claiming that more than ten Russian citizens were allegedly killed in a road accident in the country's north.
"We are verifying this information now. We cannot confirm 100% that these people are Russian citizens," a Consular Department spokesman told Interfax.
India's media reported earlier that a bus allegedly carrying Russian tourists had fallen into the Bhagirathi River in one of the country's northern states. According to these reports, 13 Russian citizens were killed.
