Puchkov introduces emergency mode for emergency bodies in Southern Federal District
MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - Russian Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov has ordered to introduce emergency mode for bodies and forces of the all-Russia system for preventing and liquidating emergency situations in the Southern Federal District.
"Taking into account the decisions made in Ukraine, I am asking to introduce emergency mode in bodies and forces of the all-Russia system for preventing and liquidating emergency situations in the Southern Federal District," Puchkov said at an Emergency Ministry meeting on Tuesday.
At the same time, high alert regime is introduced in bodies and forces of the all-Russia system for preventing and liquidating emergency situations of the Central, Volga and North Caucuses regions, the minister said.
Puchkov has also ordered the North Caucasus, Volga and Central regional search and rescue units to send more rescuers to the Rostov region.
The entire aviation of the Russian Emergency Ministry, involved in the Southern Federal District, has been given the task to ensure air corridor and "to move aviation closer to crossing points [at the Russian-Ukrainian border], where, according to the forecast, the number of people leaving Ukraine might grow," the minister said.
Puchkov has ordered the Southern Federal District center of the Emergency Ministry to set up a mobile hospital, to hold all procedures necessary to support refugees, firstly in pediatrics, and to have strict control over sanitary and epidemiological situation at the temporary accommodations facilities, where refugees are staying.
According to the information of the Russian Emergency Ministry, as of early Tuesday, a total of 250 temporary accommodation sites for refugees from Ukraine have been set up in Russia and 17,471 people are in them. Additionally, seven mobile temporary accommodation sites with a capacity of 3,500 people have been formed.
In the past 24 hours 281 of refugees were moved, the Emergency Situations Ministry said. A convoy with 90 tonnes humanitarian aid for refugees arrived from the Noginsk rescue center to Rostov-on-Don on June 30.
