Dismissal of Luhansk People's Republic govt a "new phase" in development - leader
LUHANSK, Ukraine. July 4 (Interfax) - The leader of the Luhansk People's Republic has described his dismissal of the government of the unilaterally proclaimed state as "a new phase" in its development.
"A new phase has begun in the development of the Luhansk People's Republic. A professional civilian government is to be formed. It is vital now to create a team of high-standard specialists who would be able to organize work on principal aspects of development of the Luhansk People's Republic as soon as possible," Valery Bolotov told a news conference on Friday.
"Now is the time to get down to the budget, the social sphere, job creation and the restoration of enterprises, and to pay adequate attention to education, science and cultural affairs," he said.
"We need an administrative reform and need to bring people as close as possible to governing our region," Bolotov said.
Bolotov's order disbanding the government was posted on the website of the unilaterally proclaimed republic earlier on Friday.
