KYIV. July 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government issued a resolution appointing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Construction and the Housing and Utilities Sector Volodymyr Groysman as the country's acting prime minister.
"Such a decision was adopted after Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation," according to the document, which was published on the Ukrainian government's website on Friday.
Yatsenyuk announced his resignation in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday. "I announce my resignation due to the coalition breakup and blocking of governmental initiatives," Yatsenyuk said.
