ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 30 (Interfax) - Paul Picard, the head of the OSCE mission in the Rostov region, said the OSCE commission is beginning to work in the Rostov region on monitoring the work of the checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

The first group of monitors, composed of four monitors and three administrative workers, is ready to begin working today, Picard said during a working meeting with representatives of the region's law enforcement structures and the region's government officials on Wednesday.

Picard said more monitors will join the mission in the nearest future as per the agreements reached earlier.
