Another four members of nationalist group detained in St. Pete on suspicion of killing migrant

ST. PETERSBURG. July 31 (Interfax) - Another four members of a national group have been detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of involvement in the killing of an Uzbek man on November 4, 2013, the press service for the Main Investigations Department of the city's Investigative Committee reported on Thursday.

"Another four members of a criminal group, Denis Shvedov, 19, and three residents of St. Petersburg, aged between 16 and 18, have been detained on suspicion of these crimes. The detainees have been charged with murder and six counts of deliberate infliction of heavy bodily harm," the report says.

The investigators have found that the detainees and the 13 young men who were detained on suspicion of the crime earlier are members of an organized group whose members attacked people with origins in Central Asia.

Twelve of the 17 detainees have now been arrested.

According to earlier reports, a body of an Uzbek man with stab and cut wounds was found in St. Petersburg's Karavayevskaya Street on November 4, 2013. A criminal case was opened based on Part 2 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder by a group of people).
