Ukrainian fighter shot down over Luhansk region - TV

KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax) - A MiG-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down in Luhansk region; the pilot ejected, spokesman for the headquarters of the antiterrorist operation Leonid Matyukhin said on Channel 5.

He said the aircraft was attacked Saturday night after the pilot delivered an air strike.

Matyukhin said the pilot ejected and has been taken to a safe place.
