Warm clothes sent to Ukraine army ahead of cold spell - NSDC

KYIV. Aug 19 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has reported that Ukrainian servicemen taking part in the army operation in Ukraine's eastern regions will be prepared for a possible cold spell or a deterioration in weather conditions.

"We are ready to act in any weather conditions. Soldiers have always been trained to survive under any circumstances. Warm clothes have already been prepared, and some of them have been sent to army units," NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko told the ICTV television station on Monday evening.

"In other words, we will be ready to continue our operation amid a cold spell or rain," he added.
