Militia claims two Ukrainian military helicopters downed near Luhansk

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - The militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) says two Ukrainian Air Force helicopters have been downed in the Luhansk region.

"The helicopters were shot down in the vicinity of Hryhorievka in the LPR. Reportedly, two helicopters are down and it is yet unknown what happened to their crews," a source in the LPR staff told Interfax on the phone.

Interfax has not obtained a confirmation from the Ukrainian military.
