Militia say have downed another Su-27 plane

DONETSK. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The militia handed over to Ukraine the bodies of 35 troops and 402 POWs, of which 72 are wounded, as of 10:00 a.m. on September 1, the press service for the Novorossia army told Interfax.

"The air defense forces have also shot down a Su-27 plane, which had breached the ceasefire agreements, in the area of the populated area of Mereshki," the press service said.

The source said the Ukrainian army had used cluster bombs which are prohibited by international conventions, in the artillery attack on the Luhansk airport.

Last night, the militia damaged two Ukrainian helicopters at a field aerodrome and destroyed two armored vehicles and two ammunition warehouses, the press service said. "Up to 100 Ukrainian troops were killed ad wounded and 13 troops were taken prisoner," the source said.

Interfax has no confirmation of this information from Ukrainian sources.
