Moscow courts didn't rule to release Yevtushenkov - Moscow City Court

MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The Moscow Basmanny Court and the Moscow City Court have not ruled to release Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the head of AFK Sistema, who is charged in the illegal sale of Bashneft shares, from under house arrest.

"The Moscow Basmanny Court and the Moscow City Court have not made such decisions," Moscow City Court press officer Ulyana Solopova told Interfax on Friday.

Solopova said the decision Yevtushenkov could have been made by the investigators without a court decision.

"The Basmanny Court currently has only the appeal fled by the lawyers for Yevtushenkov contesting the decision on his house arrest. It has not been accepted for consideration yet," she said.

A source in AFK Sistema earlier told Interfax Yevtushenkov had been released from under house arrest on Friday.
