MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - OJSC Inter RAO UES and Rostec, the former state Russian technologies corporation, have launched their joint gas turbine manufacturing venture LLC Russian Gas Turbines in Rybinsk together with American General Electric, a source close to one of the companies and two sources familiar with their plans told Interfax.

CKD assembly of the first turbine from foreign parts began at the plant in July for Rosneft . In the first quarter of 2015, it should undergo testing before being shipped to the customer in February.

In addition, Inter RAO has not confirmed information on the plant's launch. "The plant has really been built, but not yet commissioned," Inter RAO's official representative told Interfax.

A representative of Russian Gas Turbines told journalists in March 2014 that the joint gas turbine manufacturing venture would be launched in June 2014. Rosneft purchased the first 77 MW GE 6FA turbine. Management board member Ilnar Mirsiyapov told journalists that the enterprise's launch was taking place according to plans.

Inter RAO and RAO Energy System of East also plan to buy the turbines produced in Rybinsk.

The plant will produce between five and seven units per year in 2014-2016. Maximum capacity is 14 per year, and investments are upwards of 5 billion rubles.
