Ukraine could start exporting dairy products to EU in second half of 2015 - ministry
KYIV. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine's agrarian policy and food ministry hopes to start exporting Ukrainian dairy products to the European Union in the second half of 2015 if the European Commission gives the go-ahead.
"We will obtain preliminary results within 20 days and have eight or nine months at our disposal pending confirmation in Brussels. So exports could begin in the second half of 2015," Deputy Agriculture Minister for European Integration Vladislava Rutickaya told reporters at the AgriInvest Forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
She said a European mission will inspect Ukrainian meat factories in 2016.
Ukraine's agriculture oversight service earlier announced that European specialists had completed inspections on Ukrainian dairy companies.
