Ukraine to receive maximum of 114 mln cubic meters of gas per day from Gazprom - Miller

MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy will receive up to 114 million cubic meters of gas per day from Gazprom , as agreed upon in documents signed on winter supplies, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said in an interview with TV channel Russia-24.

"We again affirmed [in the signed documents] that the maximum daily amount is 114 million cubic meters," he said.

This volume is in line with the amount of Russian gas included in the current contract from 2009, but it was mentioned again in the addendum signed yesterday on the current contract.

Asked which parameters were included in the addendum to the current contract, Miller said: "But considering the fact that we nonetheless met Ukraine halfway - the take-or-pay rule will not be applied - we have accordingly repeated the obligations [on maximum gas supplies]."

If Ukraine settles $3.1 billion in debt for previous gas supplies, the take-or-pay regime will not be used, Miller said.
