Putin plans no contacts with leaders of Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic - spokesman
MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin plans no contacts with the leaders of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic who were elected on November 2, Putin's spokesman said in a radio program on Thursday.
"No contacts are planned between the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and the elected leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics," Dmitry Peskov told Russian News Service.
Nor does Putin have any near-term plans to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Peskov added.
The incumbent prime ministers of the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky, were elected their republics' top leaders in the November 2 polls. The same day the two republics elected their parliaments.
