Iran wants to reach final agreement with P5+1 as soon as possible - foreign minister
VIENNA. Nov 25 (Interfax) - The P5+1 (the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany) and Iran could reach a final agreement on Tehran's nuclear program earlier than in seven months' time, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said.
"We believe that this decision could be reached during our talks earlier than in seven months' time. And we want to do so as soon as possible," he said after talks between the P5+1 and Iran in Vienna.
Zarif also said he was confident that the sides would not have to extend their talks beyond the June 30 deadline.
"No one wants to postpone it for longer than necessary. I do not believe that we need more time. We may require some time in order to finalize details and technical issues. But we do not need time to reach a political decision," he said.
