Russia produces 21.1% more gold in 11M
MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Russia increased production of unprocessed gold in ingots by 21.1% year-on-year in January-November, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.
Production rose 1.2% year-on-year in November alone but fell 30.6% compared with October 2013.
Production of ore and gold-bearing concentrates grew 9.5% year-on-year in 11M but fell 7.8% in November and was down 35% from the previous month.
Production of platinum and its alloys fell 36.6% year-on-year in November and 6.5% in 11M.
Production of palladium and its alloys fell 4.5% in November but grew 2.1% in 11M.
Rosstat does not publish actual production figures for these metals.
