Lavrov, Palestinian negotiator to discuss UN draft resolution in Moscow on Dec 22
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - The head of the Palestinian delegation to the talks with Israel, Saeb Erekat, is due to arrive to Moscow this Sunday for a Monday discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of a draft resolution of the United Nations Security Council regarding the timeframe for creation of the Palestinian State, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Faed Mustafa said.
"I can say that Saeb Erekat will arrive this Sunday. He is meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday," he told Interfax.
"The two most important topics for us at the moment are the political resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and our draft UN SC resolution. It is these issues that they will be discussing," the diplomat said.
Mustafa also said that no date has been set for the UN vote on this draft as discussions still continue.
