LPR leader allows for possibility of unification with DPR
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) leader Igor Plotnitsky has acknowledged the possibility of unification with the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"We have never refused to unite with the Donetsk People's Republic," the DPR information portal quoted Plotnitsky as saying.
According to the LPR leader, it would be premature to speak about the signing of any documents but the integration issue is being frequently discussed with DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko.
The Luhansk and Donetsk people's republics are acting together at the Minsk negotiations, Plotnitsky emphasized. "An agreement that neither of our republics shall act individually at the Minsk negotiations was reached a long time ago. Each of our decisions is collegial," he added.
