Ukrainian army's casualty toll ten times higher than militia's - militia

MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Militiamen claim that the ratio between Ukrainian army's losses and their own as a result of the fight at Donetsk airport in past 24 hours has been approximately ten to one.

"During the defensive fight militiamen destroyed 27 tanks and 20 armored fighting vehicles. One tank was seized by militiamen. Losses among Ukrainian troops amounted to more than 200 killed and around 300 injured. Our losses: 16 killed and 62 injured," deputy commander of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) headquarters, Eduard Basurin, told reporters on Monday.
