SAP freezes service contract prices for Russia in 2015
MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - SAP AG has frozen its service contract prices for Russian clients at 53.5 rubles/EUR1 in 2015, the software company said.
"The move should enable our clients to forecast IT costs clearly, focusing on the development of there own business, and not on solving financial issues," SAP told Interfax.
The price freeze is valid for contracts signed before December 1, 2014.
Clients usually pay for standard contracts once a quarter at the current exchange rate.
The price free is optional, though: a client can opt either to take advantage of the program or pay on current terms.
SAP did not say how many clients had signed service contracts with it as of December 1 last year.
Experts close to the company estimate software support services account for 25% of SAP revenue in the CIS.
According to the SPARK-Interfax database, SAP CIS revenue was 19.7 billion rubles in 2013 and consisted of software sales, software supports sales and software consulting and installation sales. Net profit was 1 billion rubles.
SAP has operated in Russia since 1992 and has offices in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Izhevsk and Rostov.
