Moscow says OSCE should assist with inquiry into Donetsk bus stop attack - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Moscow has demanded that an investigation be immediately launched into the death of 13 people as a result of Thursday's shelling of a bus stop in Donetsk, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.

"We demand an urgent investigation involving representatives of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) of this crime committed in Donetsk. All measures should be taken to stop shelling by Kyiv of cities in the south-east of Ukraine and to prevent any further pointless casualties among the civilian population," he said.

Lavrov's remarks were posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website on Thursday.
