Gazprom unable to supply Turkey with 30 bcm in 2014, only 27.4 bcm

MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Gazprom could not supply Turkey with 30 billion cubic meters of gas, as was announced in a press release from October 1.

In a statement released on Tuesday the company said that supplies amounted to only 27.4 bcm of gas, after 26.6 bcm in 2013.

At the end of the year warm weather led to a fall in Turkish demand.

In October and November supplies suffered for another reason. Gazprom reduced supplies to all foreign buyers in order to reduce the base for reverse supplies to Ukraine. And Turkey was an innocent bystander in this process. By the start of December (this was during the state visit of the Russian government to Ankara), these technical problems were resolved.
