Guards of Moscow U.S. embassy compound detain Russian for trespassing

MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Guards of the compound of the U.S. embassy in Moscow detained an unarmed Russian citizen who was trying to get onto the compound's premises on Tuesday night and gave him in to Moscow police, spokesman for U.S. embassy to Russia William Stevens told Interfax.

"An unarmed Russian man attempted to enter the compound of the U.S. embassy in Moscow on the evening of February 18. Security forces responded immediately and the man was apprehended and turned over to Russian authorities," Stevens said.

He highlighted that the man was not naked.

A source with law enforcement agencies told Interfax earlier on Wednesday that a naked tried to climb over the fence of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.
