First tranche of IMF loan under EFF program to amount to $5 bln

KYIV. March 11 (Interfax) - The first tranche of the IMF loan under the new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EEF) Arrangement which the IMF Board approved on Wednesday will amount to $5 billion, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk told the press in Kyiv.

An IMF press release specifies that the total size of the facility is SDR12.348 billion or about $17.5 billion while the first tranche to be disbursed immediately amounts to SDR3.546 billion or about $5 billion with SDR1.915 billion or $2.7 billion of it to be channeled to support the budget.
