Assessment of Syria situation approved at inter-Syrian talks in Moscow - moderator

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - All Syrian opposition members attending the second round of consultations in Moscow have managed to approve a document concerning the first point on the talks' agenda that assesses the current situation in Syria, consultations moderator Vitaly Naumkin has said.

"The exceptional achievement was that the parties managed to unanimously approve a document of a general political nature following heated debates on the first point of the agenda between all participants in the meeting," he told a press conference in Moscow on Friday.

The agenda for the inter-Syrian consultations in Moscow included five points, he added.

Certain participants in the talks expressed their own reservations during discussions on all issues, Naumkin said.

"No reservations were voiced" concerning the first point on the agenda, he added.
