Russian ruble becomes main currency in LPR - authorities
LUHANSK. April 10 (Interfax) - The Russian ruble has become the main currency collected in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) after the hryvnia, Igor Plotnitsky, the head of the LPR, said.
"Collections are made in four currencies. We now collect the most money in rubles, which are followed by hryvnia, dollars and euros," LuhanskInformCenter quoted Plotnitsky as saying on Friday.
"The payments, consequently, will be made in the same order," he said.
According to Plotnitsky, the first results of the introduction of a multi-currency system in the republic can be assessed as positive.
"We can now say that the multi-currency system has justified itself," he said.
