Heavy weaponry to be showcased at V-Day parade in Donetsk - DPR
DONETSK. May 8 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is not going to abandon plans to display heavy weaponry during a parade in central Donetsk on May 9.
"Everything will be as planned: the parade will take place with participation of heavy weaponry: cannons, self-propelled artillery weapons, surface-to-air systems, BM-21 'Grad' rocket launchers, infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, howitzers and many others," a DPR defense official told Interfax.
At the same time he stressed that "all this hardware that will be paraded through the city center tomorrow is not combat-capable."
