Eurasian Economic Union to get observer status at UN General Assembly this September - Putin

MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) has established cooperation with UN agencies, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Cooperation has been established with UN agencies. The Eurasian Economic Union is to obtain observer status at the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly this September," Putin told the Supreme Eurasian economic Council of heads of state on Friday.
