Horlivka shelled, three house fires reported - City Hall

DONETSK. July 1 (Interfax) - The city of Horlivka in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has been shelled, the city administration reported.

"The Mykitovskyi district was under attack from approximately 8 p.m. till 10 p.m.," the Donetsk news agency has quoted the city administration's information analysis department as saying in a report.

According to the city administration, the shelling did not lead to casualties. However, the attacks on northwestern areas of the city started at least three fires, the Horlivka City Hall said.

A representative of the DPR Republican Guard told Interfax earlier that the Donbas city of Horlivka was shelled on Wednesday night. "Gunfire is coming from the side of Dzerzhinsk and the Yuzhna mine. A two-storey apartment house was hit in the Hluboka mine camp. A fire is burning," he said.

The representative of the Republican Guard of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic put the blame for the shelling incident on the Ukrainian army.
