NATO training center in Georgia to have several venues - General Staff Chief
TBILISI. July 8 (Interfax) - Georgian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Vakhtang Kapanadze says sites for the deployment of a NATO training center have already been chosen.
"A decision on the venue of the training center has been made. It will not have a sole location, a sole building. The training center will include a number of simulation and tactical practice areas, among them the National Training Center of the Defense Ministry in Krtsanisi and the tactical range and the shooting range in Vaziani," he told reporters on Wednesday.
It was decided to open a training center in Georgia jointly with NATO at the North Atlantic alliance's summit in Wales.
According to preliminary information, the center will open during a visit of the NATO secretary general to Georgia which is tentatively planned for August of this year.
