Putin praises development of Russia-Tajikistan bilateral trade
UFA. July 8 (Interfax) - Russia and Tajikistan are successfully developing their trade and economic relations, which have virtually not been affected by the economic problems that started appearing in 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"I am very delighted to say that our relations with Tajikistan are developing very well. Despite all economic difficulties in Europe, the world, and our countries, trade turnover with Tajikistan grew by more than 21% last year. This is a very good sign," Putin said while meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Ufa on Wednesday.
"There was some correction [in trade between the two countries] at the start of this year, but the trend is very good in general," he said.
