EU starts speaking of normalizing relations with Russia more often - Chizhov

MOSCOW. July 22 (Interfax) - Europe is increasingly sending signals on the resumption of normal relations with Russia, Russian envoy to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov has said.

"To my mind, the fact that the current freeze on different tracks of cooperation with Russia is damaging both sides is apparent to everyone, and signals about the need to turn the page faster and go back to normal life are becoming more frequent and stronger," Chizhov said on the Russia 24 channel.

He said that it will be possible to speak about the EU revising its policy of sanctions against Russia in winter as the next deadline for revising or resuming the regime of sanctions will be in January 2016.

"Naturally much is going to depend on the course of the political settlement of the conflict in Ukraine," he said.
