UVZ to form JV with Algeria's EPE Ferrovial to produce rolling stock

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) , a Russian state engineering company, plans to form a joint venture with Algeria's EPE Ferrovial to produce railway rolling stock.

"The Russian side will participate most actively in the creation of a joint venture to produce rolling stock for railway transport. An agreement will be signed today between UVZ and Algerian company Ferrovial," Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Friday at the seventh session of the Russian-Algerian intergovernmental commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation in Moscow.

Novak is head of the Russian part of the commission.
