Ceasefire, special status of Donbas are LPR priorities in Contact Group - Deinego

LUHANSK. Aug 6 (Interfax) - The main priorities in the work of the Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in southeastern Ukraine are the special status of Donbas, ceasefire and weapons withdrawal from the contact line, LPR envoy Vladislav Deinego told reporters on Thursday.

"The tasks remain the same. The priorities are special status and ceasefire, for which Ukraine needs to be made to withdraw weapons," Deinego said.

"As to the buffer zone Ukrainian President Poroshenko was talking about, Ukraine was not ready to discuss that issue. Several solutions were offered. Before that, the text of the document on withdrawal had been approved four times and Ukraine is not ready to use any of them. The process is virtually being disrupted," Deinego said.
