Self-proclaimed Donetsk republic accuses Ukrainian govt forces of shelling Donetsk at night to conceal this from OSCE
DONETSK. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR) accuses the Ukrainian armed forces of deliberately shelling its territory at night so that the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) could not document this.
"The amount of damage, fires, and casualties related to the shelling of the DPR populated areas has grown over the past week. The Ukrainian armed forces are doing this on purpose and deliberately at nighttime, because the OSCE mission is incapable of recording incidents at this time," the ministry said in a statement posted on the website of the Donetsk news agency.
The Donetsk city administration had said earlier that the Ukrainian government forces had heavily shelled the Kyivsky, Kirovsky, and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk late on Friday and in the early hours of Saturday.
