Putin asks if U.S. wants to start war anew, provoke hostilities in Donbas
MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The Russian leadership is wondering why the United States Congress is making a decision over a possibility to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine and whether behind such a decision is a desire to provoke a new wave of hostilities.
"Given the fact that the hostilities have ceased and cases of shelling are rare, it is unclear why would the US Congress adopt resolutions making it possible to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons. The question arises as to whether there is a desire to spark a war or provoke hostilities," Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with the Interfax and Anadolu news agencies on Friday ahead of the G20 summit in Antalya.
