Paris terrorist attacks confirm need for creation of anti-terrorist coalition - leader of United Russia faction in State Duma
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Vladimir Vasilyev, leader of he parliamentary majority in the State Duma, said there is a need to create a broad anti-terrorist coalition to counter the terrorist aggression.
"The terrorists have now delivered an inhumane strike on France. Who is next? And what needs to be done to stop this evil?" Vasilyev told reporters on Saturday.
He said the tragedy in Paris again confirmed the need for the creation of a broad anti-terrorist coalition on the basis of the principles of international law.
The parliamentarian said that was what Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested doing at the anniversary session of the UN General Assembly.
"Feeling grief, pain and anger, we now understand better that we have one enemy. But we are not together yet. We need to unite in the face of the threat to our common world and do everything to save peoples from terrorism," Vasilyev said
On behalf of his faction, Vasilyev expressed solidarity with the people of France and sympathy with those hurt in the terrorist attacks in Paris.
