Strikes on ISIL sites in Syria from Caspian Sea coordinated with Iranian partners - Putin
TEHRAN. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin thinks that strikes against ISIL sites in Syria from the Caspian Sea would be impossible without the involvement of Syrian partners.
"This is done of course in agreement with Iranian partners, and I think that it would simply be impossible without their participation," Putin said after negotiations with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran on Tuesday.
A large space group, various aircraft, including attack planes, bombers, strategic bombers and jet fighters that cover them, as well as two fleet groups in the Caspian and the Mediterranean seas, are involved in the operation of Russia's Aerospace Forces in Syria, Putin said.
