High-ranking Russian, EU diplomats discuss Ukraine, Syria conflict, antiterrorism at consultations in Brussels

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov and EU External Action Service Deputy Secretary General Helga Schmid held consultations in the capacity of Russian and EU political directors in Brussels on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Meshkov and Schmid discussed details of the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and the most important international problems, including the situation in Ukraine, the settlement of the conflict in Syria, the fight against terrorism, and migration problems, the ministry said.
