Moscow verifying Ukrainian Security Service's reports on detention of Russians in Kyiv - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Russia is verifying reports that Russian citizens, allegedly members of a sabotage and reconnaissance group, were detained in Ukraine.

"This information is now being verified and checked," a Russian Foreign Ministry source told Interfax.

Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) spokesperson Olena Hitlianska said earlier that during its operation, the SBU had dismantled the activities of a sabotage and reconnaissance group active in a number of Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, and had detained three citizens of Russia and three Ukrainians. One soldier of the Alfa special operations unit was killed.
